With
roots that date back to 1946 with Towmotor Corporation, Atlantic Lift
has the heritage and lineage that our competitors can only hope to have,
but will never attain. Our location was built in 1962 as a new factory
service branch for Towmotor Corp. In 1965 Towmotor Corp. is sold to
Caterpillar Tractor Co. and becomes a subsidiary. Fork Lift Truck Sales
buys the Whittington Ave facility and becomes the Cat Lift Truck Dealer.
The company is sold in 1972 to James C. Alban, III and Alban Lift Truck
is formed. In 1995 James C. Alban, Jr. sells the company to current
ownership and it becomes Atlantic Lift Truck, Inc. So even though
Atlantic Lift Truck, Inc has celebrated only 10 years as it is now
known, you can see the history is much longer than that. Many employees
have been here through the changes which has helped continue the long
history of strong customer service and support that has always been a
trade mark of Caterpillar Lift Trucks! We are the authorized
Caterpillar, Royal, Eagle Picher, and Wiggins dealer serving the
Maryland, Delaware, D.C., Northern Virginia and N.E. West Virginia
marketplaces. |
